If the Save option isn't available when editing a compensation item, it's typically due to the Workforce Planning template being locked for one or more budget entities. Here are some scenarios where this might occur:
- One or more budget entities are in a forward state, resulting in all templates being locked. You can review the status of budget entities using the Workflow Status report which is a standard report which you can access by navigating to Maintenance > Reports > Standard Reports. After reviewing, you may need to send back applicable budget entities to unlock the templates.
- The Workforce Planning template has been marked as complete in the Planning Control Panel, thereby locking it for one or more budget entities.
