How to Set Up Formula Validation?

To configure the Formula Validation for Trial Balance and Balance Sheet Report information, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Consolidation to open the Consolidation Control Panel
  2. Click Validations under Processes. The Validations grid appears.

  3. In the center pane of the Consolidation Control Panel, click the Add button to add a new Formula Validation.

  4. On the Add Validation page, drag and drop the Balance account to the Left Hand Side, which is mapped in the Consolidation Setup.

  5. Select the equal (=) Operator.

  6. Enter zero (0) in the Right Hand Side.

If the Validation is successful, meaning that the balance of the balance account in local or common currency is equal to ‘0’ then the Balance Sheet is balanced. If the Validation fails, meaning that the balance of the balance account is not equal to ‘0’, the Balance Sheet is not balanced.

Note:
This Validation must be run after the Consolidation Process is complete. So, first you will run the Consolidation Process, then you will run this Formula Validation to check results.
