How to Add a Leaf Level Member to a Hierarchy in SpotlightXL

When adding new members (leaf or rollup) to a hierarchy, it is recommended to use the Append action available in the Dimension Hierarchy screen. Below is a guide on how to add a leaf-level member to a hierarchy.

1. In SpotlightXL, select Model > Dimension.
2. Select the required model and dimension in which a leaf level member will be added.
   
   
3. In the Action drop-down, select Append.
4. Enter the Member Code of the new dimension member.
5. Enter the parent member of the dimension in the Member Parent field.
6. Select + as a Rollup Operator for the new member  and click Save.
   
   
7. Select View from the Action drop-down menu to see the newly added member. You can now include this member in reports and views.
