How to Add a Leaf Level Member to a Hierarchy in SpotlightXL

When adding new members (leaf or rollup) to a hierarchy, it is recommended to use the Append action available in the Dimension Hierarchy screen. Below is a guide on how to add a leaf-level member to a hierarchy.

1. In SpotlightXL, select Model > Dimension.
2. Select the desired model and dimension in which a leaf level member will be added.
   
   
3. In the Action drop-down, select Append.
4. Enter the Member Code of the new dimension member.
5. Enter the parent member of the dimension in the Member Parent field.
6. Select the desired Rollup Operator for the new member and click Save.
   
   
7. Select View from the Action drop-down menu to see the newly added member. You can now include this member in reports and views.
