  1. Go to Maintenance > Data Integration > Data Load Rules.

  2. Click New Data Load Rule.

    1. Enter a Name and Description.

    2. Select the desired Load Type (For example: Copy - Paste, File Load or Web Services).

    3. For Load Item, choose one of the following based on your use case:

      1. Segment Hierarchies – To load Dimension members

      2. Entity Hierarchies – To load the Budget Entity hierarchy

    4. Select Load Sub Item:

      1. If Segment Hierarchies is selected, choose the desired Dimension (e.g., Account).

      2. If Entity Hierarchies is selected, choose Budget Entity Hierarchy.

  3. Click Next, or click Select Sample Input File. Select the fields as desired.

    • For example:

      • If you have selected File Type upload the sample file and fill other fields as desired.

      • If you have selected Copy - Paste, paste the data to be added.

  4. Click Next, or click Define Overall Rule Settings.

    1. Select Hierarchy Type from the dropdown (applicable only to Segment Hierarchies).

    2. Select Build type: Level, or Parent Child.

    3. Select Entity Type from the dropdown (applicable only to Entity Hierarchies).

    4. Use the Defaults section to define the parameters for the new members if not included in the data file.

  5. Click Next, or click Manipulate Input file.

    • (Optional) Use this section to adjust the input data as needed.

  6. Click Next, or Define Data Mappings.

    • Map fields as needed. The system automatically maps the Maps To column when the Source Column name matches the target segment (data file header).

  7. Click Next, or click Load Data.

    • Click Choose File to upload the final file containing the new hierarchy members..

  8. Click Finish.

You will receive a success message if the data loads successfully.

If the load fails, review the file, make necessary corrections, and complete the process.
