How to load the Actual Data using DLR?

To load data to Actual data via Data Load Rules (DLR) in Planful, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Data Integration > Data Load Rules.

  2. Click New Data Load Rule.

  3. Enter a name for the DLR.

  4. Select Load Type. Choose from File Load, Copy - Paste, Web Services, Google Drive File Upload, or FTP/SFTP depending on your data source.

  5. For Load Item, select Data.

  6. For Load Sub Item, select GL data.

  7. Click Next. On the Select Sample Input File step, fill in the details as required.

  8. Click Next. On the Define Overall Rule Settings step:

    • Set Scenario to Actual.

    • Choose Time Mapping: Down Rows, Across Columns, or Across Columns by Scenario.

    • Set Data Type: MTD, YTD, or Account Based.

    • Choose Credit/Debit, Currency Conversion, and Automatic Cube Refresh as needed.

    • Use Clear Data Configuration to control how old data is cleared before loading.

    • Fill other fields as required.

  9. Click Next to go to the Manipulate Input File  step:

    • Modify file structure (optional) – join, split, sort, etc.

  10. Click Next to go to Define Data Mappings. Map each Source Column to a Target Segment, Fiscal Period, and Amount field.

  11. Click Next and click Finish to execute the data load.

    A status message will confirm success or show an exception report if there are errors.
