How to Select Data and Member Design Manager Options to Populate Report Values

Perform the following steps to add a new data intersection to report on income from 2012:

  1. Select the blank cell (B17) below the 2014 data.
  2. Click Design Manager.
  3. Select Data.
  4. Select FinanceMaster as the model. The model
  5. the report is saved to populates the list box by default.
  6. Select Golf for Product.
  7. Select 2012 for Time. The data intersection in this case is where Golf intersects with 2012.
  8. Click Update.
  9. Format the cell as needed. For example, currency with no decimals.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Select the Run subtask. The result is displayed as shown below.

Next, add the Golf 2012 time dimension member to the report.

  1. Select the Design subtask.
  2. Select the empty cell (A17) to the left of the cell you just populated with data.
  3. Click Design Manager.
  4. Select Member.
  5. The FinanceMaster model is selected by default.
  6. Select the Time dimension from the Dimension list box.
  7. Click the search box and select 2012.
  8. Click Update.
  9. Save the report.
  10. Select the Run subtask. The result is displayed below. You can format the report by adding background color, interesting rows, and so on.
