To make an attribute available for dynamic reporting:
- Create the Attribute. Refer to How to Add Attributes from Attribute Setup.
- Ensure the Used in Reporting selection is set to Yes. For information on how to do so: see Setting Up An Attribute Used in Reporting and Enabling Drill Down to Dimension Member
How to Make an Attribute Available for Dynamic Reporting?
- Navigate to Reports.
- From the File Cabinet, click the Add list box and select Dynamic Report.
- On the Add - Dynamic Report window, the Reporting Area is selected as Financial by default. Click OK.
- Under the dimension, the attributes are listed and available to drag to the axis.
- If it is a Basic type attribute, drag it to the desired axis in the report.
- Click on the selected dimension that you have dragged onto the axis to view the members.
- Select the member and you can see the selection on the Page axis.
- Click on the selected dimension that you have dragged onto the axis to view the members.
- If it is a Property type attribute, drag the relevant dimension to the Row or Column. You will see the Properties tab. Note that the Property tab becomes active only if there are any Property type based attributes added to the selected dimension.
- Select the Properties tab, and then choose the attribute(s) you wish to use in the report.
- Select the Properties tab, and then choose the attribute(s) you wish to use in the report.
- If it is a Basic type attribute, drag it to the desired axis in the report.
- Complete the structure or design of your report and click Run.
