Article summary

Mapped attributes are available for end-user selection/input when the Initiative is added via the Structured Planning > Planning Control Panel for planning.

Once you have added all the attributes you need, map them to Initiatives.

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Planning Templates > Attributes.
  2. On the Attribute List page, select an attribute and click Initiative Mapping.

  3. Select the attributes you want to map on the left pane and click the forward arrow to move them to the Assigned Attribute(s) pane.
  4. Under Display, select the checkbox next to the attributes you want to be displayed as columns on the Initiative Input page.

  5. Use the up and down arrows to move the attributes up and down within the list. This is also how they will be displayed when adding an initiative via the Structured Planning > Planning Control Panel.

For example, there are mapped attributes below with Display selected.

On the Initiative Input page in the Structured Planning > Planning Control Panel, the attributes with the Display checkbox selected are displayed in the column name.

All other attributes are not displayed but are available for selection when the Add button is clicked. Now, click the Add button on the Initiative Input page accessed from the Structured Planning > Planning Control Panel.

Notice that all attributes are available for end-user selection/input based on those added when Initiative Attribute mapping was performed.

Note:
Once an attribute is used in a template, you cannot unmap it.
