How to organize your budget by segment (department, geography, etc)
When you create a budget you need to organize your budget appropriately - we call these units "segments". A segment is a portion of your marketing plan that has a single owner (with accountability for spend and results). It is either the entire plan, or else a plan within a plan. A segment has a name, a budget allocation per timeframe (month or quarter), and an owner.
