Below are various common questions and answers regarding the Plannuh - LinkedIn Ads integration!

1. What data is pulled from the Plannuh - LinkedIn Ads Integration?

Answer: Plannuh integrates with the campaign group in LinkedIn. Therefore, if you create a campaign group in LinkedIn with various campaigns nested inside of the campaign group, they will be aggregated as a campaign in Plannuh. The following data points are pulled from LinkedIn campaign groups;

  1. Metrics:
    1. Count of Clicks, Conversions, Impressions, Leads
  2. Start + End Date of the campaign group
  3. Allocated Budget:
    1. Each campaign in LinkedIn has a daily budget set. The daily budget can then be multiplied by the days in the month to arrive at a monthly budget. The sum of all monthly campaign budgets within a LinkedIn campaign group is the allocated budget within a Plannuh campaign for a given month.
  4. Expenses:
    1.  The costs incurred to run all the campaigns in a campaign group within a given month are aggregated in the Plannuh expense object and nested within the LinkedIn Ads generated campaign.

2. What happens when I delete a Plannuh campaign that was created via the LinkedIn Ads Integration?

Answer: When you delete a Linkedin Ad integrated campaign, the campaign is permanently deleted from your account.  However, the expenses incurred via the LinkedIn campaign are not deleted. You can delete these expenses on the expense page.

3. How do I know which campaigns are LinkedIn campaigns?

Answer: There are a few ways to know that a campaign was generated via the LinkedIn Ad integration;

  1. When viewing the "Manage Campaigns" page,  and viewing by "Classic View", you can see a small LinkedIn icon next to each campaign that was generated via the integration as shown below;

  2. When viewing the details of a campaign, you can see the "campaign type" is set to "LinkedIn" and can not be change.

4. How do I change the name of a campaign generated via the LinkedIn Ads integration?

Answer: You can not change the name of a campaign that was generated via the LinkedIn Ads integration in Plannuh. You can change the name by changing the name of the campaign group in Linkedin Ads.

5. Why do I not see the LinkedIn Ads Integration available in the settings wheel of my Plannuh account?

Answer: If you have purchased the LinkedIn Ads integration and do not see the option to "Add LinkedIn Ads" in your settings wheel dropdown, please reach out to your Plannuh CSM to enable this capability for you.

6. What is the "Cost Adjustment Plannuh Expense Group?" that was generated via LinkedIn?

Answer: The "Cost Adjustment Expense Group" is a method of accounting for rebates or taxes charged via ad platforms. These costs or credits tend to be independent of campaigns/campaign groups.

7. Can I used the Plannuh - LinkedIn Ads integration to only manage expenses?

Answer: Absolutely! If you would prefer to not manage campaigns or metrics, but would still like to manage expenses via the integration, you can simply delete the campaigns generated via the LinkedIn Ads integration. This will not delete the associated expenses and the integration will continue to update these expenses on a daily basis.

8. Why do some LinkedIn expenses appear in blue rather than black on the dashboard?

Answer: The Plannuh - LinkedIn Ads integration syncs expenses from LinkedIn Ads to Plannuh on a daily basis. When incurring expenses in the current month of operation, the expenses incurred via LinkedIn will automatically appear in blue as "committed." Once the month ends, those "committed" (blue) expenses will appear in black indicating they are "closed" and the dollar value has been charged/invoiced.

9. I am seeing more/less campaigns in Plannuh after integrating with LinkedIn Ads than I would have expected. Why is this?

Answer: The following reasons could be the root cause of this issue;

  1. If a LinkedIn campaign is "Paused" or "Removed," Plannuh will not generate this campaign when integrating for the first time with LinkedIn Ads.
  2. If a LinkedIn campaign does not live within a campaign group in LinkedIn, and is simply a stand-alone campaign, the campaign will not be created in Plannuh. All Plannuh campaigns generated via LinkedIn Ads are created via the campaign group.
  3. Your LinkedIn Ads authentication token may need to be refreshed. You can refresh your token by navigating to the settings wheel, and then clicking on "LinkedIn Ads Settings" and clicking on the LinkedIn icon underneath the direction to "Refresh authentication with LinkedIn"

10. If I change the allocated budget of a campaign generated via the LinkedIn Ads integration in Plannuh, will that change the daily spending limit in LinkedIn?

Answer: NO. If you overwrite the allocated budget in the campaign generated from the integration, the overwritten budget in Plannuh will not affect the daily spending limit in LinkedIn for the various campaigns within the campaign group. The budget in Plannuh will now be permanently overwritten and only editable in Plannuh. If you are interested in discussing the benefits of overwriting campaign budget in Plannuh  and maintaining current pace of your LinkedIn campaign daily spending limits, please reach out to your dedicated Plannuh CSM.
