Release 48

As 2021 comes to a close, a lot of companies are constructing their marketing plans, getting budgets approved and thinking about how they are going to make 2022 a success. So here at Plannuh, we wanted to make sure our last big release of 2021 would be as beneficial as possible to those of you who are in the thick of it and are just looking for a little help during your end of year crunch. With that in mind, we are happy to be rolling out some new features that will make it easier to build your budget in Plannuh and surface ROI:

Child Campaigns

We are happy to introduce another eagerly anticipated level of planning hierarchy - child campaigns. Users can now create a campaign that is nested inside another campaign. Costs and metrics roll up to the parent campaign to maintain reporting accuracy. Users can select a campaign to be the parent of another campaign from the “Parent” (formerly “Assign Goal”) dropdown on the campaign detail page:

And users can navigate to child campaigns by clicking the “Children” dropdown on a campaign card or by going into a campaign detail view and using the new Child Campaign section.

Expense Buckets are now Expense Groups

The “expense bucket” has been renamed to “expense group” as part of an effort to make clearer distinctions between expense groups and campaigns. Metrics are now exclusive to campaigns and no longer associated with expenses groups. The thought here is if you want to track a metric (such as leads or opportunities) then you are doing so with a coordinated campaign rather than just a group of expenses.

Not to worry though! Any expense groups you have today that do have metrics will automatically be converted to campaigns without any extra work.

In addition, expense groups can now have GL codes and PO #s associated with them which can be referenced to facilitate reconciliation.  Expense group values of GL code or PO # also serve as defaults for expenses placed into those groups, making it easier to ensure that all expenses are labeled correctly.

Campaign Value Widget

Finally, you can find a new widget on the home page showing the target, current, and forecast returns and ROI for campaigns that are tracking a key metric. This new view gives users a quick line of sight into the performance of their budget right on the home page of Plannuh, and the forecast functionality predicts the value that each campaign will deliver by the time that it completes.

Thank you for being a part of the Plannuh Community!
