Release 52

Highlights of Product Update 52:

Plannuh is excited to announce our latest product release designed to simplify marketing plan and budget management and increase performance visibility for better decision-making. New features in this release include:

  • Performance column on the Manage page
  • Mini Dash on the Manage page
  • Allocation and Spending modes on the Manage page
  • LinkedIn ads integration for pulling spend and metrics data into Plannuh

Below is additional detail and videos on all the latest features to get you started.

Enhancing the New Manage Page

Last month we released the Manage page, which utilizes our smart cell table functionality and captures a campaign-centric view of your marketing plan in a nested hierarchy.

In this new release, we’ve added a few enhancements on the Manage page to increase visibility, agility and efficiency as you navigate your plan. The updates include a new performance column and sticky footer on the bottom of the platform window we affectionately call the Mini Dash. For details on Manage page enhancements, see video below:

  • The performance column utilizes colored arrows to quickly indicate how a campaign is performing versus expectations. You can see whether the actual performance of the campaign’s key metric is above, below, or tracking to its target value. If you point at the arrow then you’ll see the target and actual values, and if you click on it, then you’ll jump to the detailed metric page for the campaign’s key metric.
  • The Mini Dash is a compass that always gives you context of how much of your budget hierarchy you are viewing at a given time. When you filter your view of the Manage page, the Mini Dash will adjust to show you the allocated and available amount you’re currently viewing.

Building on the Manage Page

In this new release, the Manage page has been updated to include two modes, Allocation and Spending mode so that you can view your budget with the appropriate lens (Figure 1). The budget hierarchy column of the Manage page is static, so you always have context about what you’re seeing, even while you drill into different data based on the selected mode.

For more detail, watch the video below on new Manage page modes:

Allocation Mode

The original view of the Manage page is now the “Allocation” mode, which enables marketers to determine how much of the budget (Figure 2) is being spent on campaigns and expense groups over time (Figure 3), and then easily make adjustments to your plan with agility and efficiency.

Spending Mode

“Spending” mode gives you flexible, detailed visibility into how much you have left to spend. When viewing the Manage page in Spending mode, you’ll notice the same budget hierarchy and the same views (by Segment, Goal or Campaign) on the left with a new set of detailed columns in the table (Figure 4).

Spending mode: Calculation & Formula Toggles

We’ve added a few toggles (Figure 5) to give you control over how to view your spending and whether to explain the math behind the calculations.

The new toggles lets you choose if you would like to include planned expenses in the total expense calculation, depending on the level of commitment you ascribe to planned expenses. You can also collapse expenses into a single Total Expenses figure. Then you can use the formula toggle to see how Total Remaining and Total Available are calculated.

LinkedIn Ads Integration

You can now integrate your LinkedIn Ads campaign data directly into Plannuh for tracking cost and metrics, for visibility into both planned and actual ROI. See video below for details:

Configuration takes seconds. Once your LinkedIn Campaigns are created (automatically) in Plannuh, you can easily associate campaigns with segments, goals, or other campaigns (individually or in bulk) using our widget on the home screen to quickly assign segments to campaigns. This action can also be completed on the Manage page using drag and drop capabilities or by selecting the campaigns and using the Action dropdown button.

It is important to know:

  • Campaigns imported from LinkedIn will not have a known budget segment in Plannuh and will initially have a “Default Segment”. The imported campaigns will need to be assigned a budget segment to properly represent the cost and allocation values in the context of your plan.

LinkedIn Campaign Details

The integration enables you to automatically update metric data in Plannuh for impressions, clicks, conversions, and leads. Plannuh indicates the data synced from LinkedIn with appropriate designations for campaign type, metric source, and expense type, which fields can only be changed if edited directly in LinkedIn.

  • Allocation amounts for LinkedIn ad campaigns are calculated in Plannuh by multiplying the daily spend limit for a LinkedIn ad campaign by the number of days in that particular month. The actual spend (and metric value) comes directly from the LinkedIn ads integration every day for up-to-date insight into your campaign performance.
  • In Plannuh, you’ve already selected whether to track your budget monthly or quarterly. Therefore, LinkedIn expenses are easily identifiable as they’re named after the associated campaign name plus the month/quarter they’re tracking. (Example: “B2Linked - March”, or “B2Linked - Q1”)
  • At the end of the month/quarter, the expense will close with the total expense amount as charged by LinkedIn. Once closed, a new expense will be created for the following time frame automatically. (Continued Example: “B2Linked - April”, or “B2Linked - Q2”)

We’re excited to bring these new enhancements to life within the platform. If you would like a personalized overview, please get in touch with your Customer Success Manager and we will be glad to take you through the new Plannuh experience!
