Planful for Marketing administrators uses the My Team page to manage and control the access of team members to budgets. This page allows them to see who has been invited to budgets, who has accessed them, and what specific permissions or access those team members have.
Accessing the My Team Page
The My Team page can be accessed by administrators in the admin settings.
Managing Your Team
Following are the ways to can manage your team on this page.
Adding new users
To add a new user to your team:
- Navigate to Settings > My Team.
- Click Add New User located at the top left of the page.
- This will create a new line in your list of users with fields for First Name, Last Name, Email, Permissions, Budgets, Segments, and Profile Status.
Permissions
The permissions fields, including permissions, budgets, and segments, allow you to control who has access to what in your account. When selecting permissions from the dropdown, there will be three options, each allowing different access and editing abilities for the user:
- Admin
- Read-Write
- Read-Only
When assigning Read-Write or Read-Only permissions to a user, you can choose a specific budget to which the user has access.
Once you have selected a budget, you can go one step further and give access to selected segments within that budget.
And finally, you can add permissions for multiple budgets by clicking the plus icon next to the Permissions dropdown.
Read-Write and Read-Only Permissions
Read-Write and Read-Only work in a relatively expected manner. Read-Write allows the user to make changes to the goals, campaigns, and expenses within the segments they've been given access to, while Read-Only will only allow users to view these objects without the ability to edit them.
Admin Permissions
Admin permissions give the user access to all the functionality within Planful for Marketing. This includes the ability to view and make changes to Planful for Marketing's admin settings, which can be found in the same settings dropdown that provides access to the My Team page.
Weekly Email
The Weekly email column will be populated with Yes if you give a user permission to a budget with the Live status. This weekly email will provide the user with updates on their spending, budget, and the status of their campaigns.
Profile Status
A user can have one of four profile statuses, which are as follows:
Send Invite: You can click on this option to send an invitation to the user's specified email, which will allow them to set a password for their profile. After that, they can log in using their email and the new password that they set.
Pending: This indicates that an invitation has been sent to the user, but they have not yet used it to create a new password for their profile. These invitations have a 30-day expiration date, which will be specified under the status.
Resend: If the invite for the user has expired on the date specified below the status, you can click on this option to send a new invitation to the user to set their password.
Active: This means that the user has successfully created a password from the email invitation and can log in to their Planful for Marketing profile.
