Welcome Home - an Introduction to the Home Page

Understand how the widgets on the home page show you the things that you own (campaigns and expenses) and give an overview of the budget.

The home page in Planful for Marketing is designed to provide a centralized view of your owned campaigns and expenses, as well as an overview of your budget and plan performance. When you log in to Planful for Marketing, you will automatically be directed to the home page. Alternatively, you can access the home page by clicking on the Planful for Marketing option in the main navigation bar. The widgets on the home page display relevant information and prioritize your actions, allowing you to easily track and manage your campaigns, expenses, and overall plan performance.









The home page in Planful for Marketing has two main sections: My Actions and Summary Plan Highlight.

  • The My Actions section provides personalized tasks and recommendations specific to your role. It helps you stay on top of important actions that require your attention.
  • The Summary Plan Highlight section gives an overview of the marketing plan, including key metrics and relevant insights. It provides a snapshot of the plan's performance.

These two sections ensure that you have access to personalized actions and high-level plan information, allowing for efficient management and tracking of your marketing initiatives.

My Action

This section of the home page is only visible when you need to take action and includes the below widgets:

  • Update my overdue expenses: This widget helps you keep your planned expenses up to date at all times. When Planful for Marketing identifies an expense assigned to you in a prior month or quarter that isn't closed, you will see a list of overdue expenses. These expenses are on the list because they haven't been closed out in your financial systems, and Planful for Marketing wants to confirm that you still intend to incur them. You can quickly update these overdue expenses, ensuring that your budget is always 100% up to date!
  • Assign segments to imported campaigns: This widget displays any open tasks assigned to you. From this list, you can directly access the task to view more details, update the due date, or change the status. If you don't have any open tasks, this widget will not be visible.

Summary Plan Highlights

The Summary Plan Highlights section on the home page provides essential information about the marketing plan. It includes the following:

  • Estimated Campaign Value: This displays all campaigns generating metrics, organized by their target return, current return, forecasted return, or ROI. The table also shows the total return on the marketing plan by summing up the expected value generated by all campaigns and comparing it to the marketing investment.
  • Budget minus expenses: This offers an up-to-date view of the total expenses compared to the budget for the current period, which can be either a month or a quarter, depending on your planning timeline.
  • Budget Allocation Stats: This provides quick statistics on your budget, including the pace of your spending compared to the plan and the portion of your budget allocated to campaigns.
  • Plan metrics progress: This presents a summary of all the metrics in your plan and tracks your progress toward achieving the targets set for each metric.
  • Campaigns: This section categorizes all campaigns in the plan based on their status.
