Ability to Use Clear Model with HACPM_Financial

This feature is available only in Excel via a menu command and is only for Administrator users.

If you integrate with Host Analytics Planning, Consolidation, and Reporting applications, you use the HACPM_Financial source model as an intermediary step to store financial data. You download data into HACPM_Financial and then use a map to copy the data into a Master model. After you have copied data into the Master model, you may not need it anymore. In this release, you can use the Clear Model menu command to clear data from HACPM_Financial.

For example, when you first set up your Master model, you may choose to download the last 5 years of Actuals data from Host Analytics applications. After that, you will regularly download only this year's Actuals and Forecast data and next year's Budget data. The 5 years of older Actuals data is no longer needed in HACPM_Financial.

  1. Select Manage, Application Administration, Application Statistics. You see that HACPM_Financial is a source model and contains data.

  1. Select Model, Setup, then select HACPM_Financial from the Model drop-down. Notice that HACPM_Financial is a Source model.

  2. Click Clear Model and then confirm that you want to clear the data.

  1. After clearing the model, note that the model is still Generated. This is different than clearing a Master or Analytic model.

  2. Select Manage, Application Administration, Application Statistics. You see that HACPM_Financial now contains no data.

Note:
Clear Model for HACPM_Financial works only with the menu command in SpotlightXL. It is not available within a calculation nor in the Web Model Manager.

New API to Return the Current or Last Status of a Calculation Script Run

A new API is available to determine the current status and the last status of the running of a calculation script:

  • <run-calcscript-payload>

  • <calcscript-status>

The API returns the following status:

  • For current status: the response is "in progress" or "not running"

  • For last status: the response is "success" or "failed"
