Global Search

With Global Search you can search for any application page, dashboard, template or report and go directly to that page. This allows you to find specific pages in the application without having to click through the navigation path.

Notifications

Click to view notifications, which are system-generated messages about processes, scenarios, and reports you are running in the application. Planful automatically deletes the history of notifications that are older than 30 days.

 

Notification Settings:

Email Notifications 

Select the appropriate checkboxes to receive the appropriate notifications via email whenever the status updates/changes.

Budget status 

During the Workflow process, the status of budgets constantly changes. Select whether you want to receive an email regarding the status change of budgets by selecting the appropriate checkboxes.
  • Approved - Receive an email when forwarded budgets are approved. 
  • Final Approved - Receive an email when budgets receive final approval. 
  • Forward - Receive an email for all budgets that are forwarded. Budgets get forwarded for approval purposes. Budgets that have been forwarded are locked and cannot be edited. 
  • Recall - Receive an email when reverse actions are performed on a forwarded template/entity. 
  • Send Back - Receive an email when forwarded budgets are sent back for changes or updates.

Dynamic Commentary

All Actions- Select this check box to enable email notifications for all actions available in Dynamic Commentary. By default, this check box is selected.
Assigned Task - Select this check box if you want to receive email notification only when someone assigned you any task.
Marked Task As Complete- Select this check box if you want to receive an email notification when the assignee of the task changes the status to Complete.
Note
You will not receive an email notification for Mark as Completed action when the task is completed from the Task Manager page. The email is sent to you if the status of the task is updated from the Comments window
Mentioned on Comment- Select this check box if you want to receive email notification only when someone mentioned you in any comment.
Replied to My Comment - Select this check box if you want to receive email notification only when someone replies to your comment.
Resolved Comment- Select this check box if you want to receive an email notification whenever a comment is resolved. You will receive resolved email notification when:
  • A user other than the initiator of the comment thread resolves the comment. 
  • The comment is resolved from the comments window or from the Comments Manager page.

MyPlan Status

Submit- Receive an email once a MyPlan has been submitted.

Predict 

Predict Processes- Select this check box to enable application notifications for all actions related to Predict functions (for example, enabling Signals and Projections, training models, resolving signals, and excluding GL combinations). 

Task Manager

All Actions - This check box helps enable email notifications for all actions related to a task in the Task Manager (for example, creation, updation, completion, and deletion of a task). This feature is enabled by default. In case you wish to disable this feature, you can deselect the All Actions checkbox.

In-App Notifications

Select the appropriate checkboxes to receive the notifications via In-App notifications whenever the status updates/changes.
All actions for Task Manager - Select this check box to enable application notifications for all actions related to a task in the Task Manager (for example, creation, updation, completion, and deletion of a task).
All actions for Budget Status - Select this check box to enable application notifications for all actions related to the status change of a budget (for example, forwarded, sent back, and approved).

Bookmark

Create bookmarks for specific templates, reports, dashboards, and application pages that you frequently access within the application. Bookmarks allow you to access specific application pages with one click.

To create a new bookmark: 

  1. Navigate to the template you want to bookmark. Click the Bookmark icon.

  2. Select Bookmark this page.

  3. Enter details for the bookmark (title, description). A name and description are populated by default. You may keep the auto-populated name and description or modify it.

  4. Click Save.

Note:
If a Dynamic Report is deleted, the bookmark is not removed. The bookmark must be explicitly deleted from the Dynamic Report.

When you are on a page that is bookmarked, you can edit or remove the bookmark. Bookmarks are user-specific and are not public.

Click Bookmark Manager to edit the location of your bookmarks within the folder structure, as well as manage the folders themselves.

Bookmark Manager - Description of Fields

Recent - click to view the most recent bookmarks created or edited.

  • My Bookmarks - this user-specific folder stores all bookmarks created.

  • Select All - click to select all bookmarks.

  • Bookmarkcheckbox - select to view and/or edit bookmark details as shown on the page above. Once edited, click Save and then refresh to view the latest changes.

  • Title - click to view bookmarks alphanumerically (ascending or descending) based on Title.

  • Delete - select a bookmark and click delete to remove the bookmark.

 

The cube status has either partitions to process (red colored icon) or all partitions processed (green colored icon)

Point of View

Point of View (POV) is a setting for each dimension that controls data displayed in a report.

User Profile Menu

Access the following assets by clicking the User Profile Menu icon:

  • Home – To view the Home page of the Planful application.

  • Manage your Account – To go to your personal Settings.

  • Access Keys - To view your access.

  • Switch to MyPlan - To go to your MyPlan account.

  • Sign Out - To log out of your Planful Account.

Announcement Click to view updates posted by authorized users. All major announcements posted on the Planful application will also be sent to active users via email notifications.

Help & Support for Support User

Access the following assets by clicking the Get Help icon:

  • Help – To refer to all documentation assets of the Planful application.
  • Community - To access the Planful Engage Community. When you sign up in Planful Engage, you can participate in various advocacy activities, and earn rewards for your contributions.
  • Training – Access Planful Academy to get trained in several areas of our product.
  • What's New - To see the release highlights for every latest release.
  • Support & Knowledge Base - To access the support and connect with other customers.
Customize the top toolbar of the application to display a personalized application name to identify the application on which you are working. You can contact the Planful support team to set the required display name.
Note:
The toolbar will display only the first 10 characters of the name. The full name of the application will be displayed only if you hover the cursor over the name.
