Adding a New User

  1. Go to Maintenance → Admin → User & Role Management → Add.

  2. Fill in details until the “Dynamic Planning User” field.

    • If that field is missing, the application is not unified; add the user manually through SpotlightXL or contact Support to unify.

  3. In Dynamic Planning User, select Yes.

    • This populates “Dynamic Planning Role”.

  4. Choose a Dynamic Planning Role:

    • Power User – full access to all Models, shared views, Reports; group security not applicable.

    • Contributor User – full access to all Models, shared views, Reports; group security applicable.

    • Reviewer User – access to default view of assigned models; cannot create/assign views.

    • Support ID is system‑updated based on the user’s setup.

  5. Review remaining options and update as needed.

  6. Save.

Adding a New Group

Context: Groups are for security; only Power & Contributor users can assign/remove access to a group.

Steps (SpotlightXL):

  1. Manage → Group Management → Group subtask.

  2. In Group, enter a name in the next empty row.

  3. Save.

Adding a New User to a Group

Notes: Users are added on User Group page for group permissions; only Power users can add/remove users to/from groups.

Steps:

  1. In Group Management, open User Group subtask.

  2. Enter the Username (email) and Group name in their columns.

    • Tip: to use dropdowns for user/group, copy & paste the row above.

  3. Save.

Assigning Group Access

Definition: Grants group access for all artifacts within Dynamic Planning.

Steps:

  1. In Group Management, open Group Access subtask.

  2. Set Artifact = All Artifacts.

  3. Set Group = All Groups; Model = All Models.

  4. In Model / View / Report / Snapshot sections, toggle Yes per group to allow access; blank = no access.

  5. Save.
