How to Log Into Spotlight for Office

Article summary

To access Spotlight for Office, open Excel, PowerPoint, or Word. Once logged in from any of these applications, you will automatically be logged into all three. Conversely, logging out from one will log you out from all three.

  1. Open Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or Word.
  2. In Excel, click the SpotlightXL tab. In Word, click the SpotlightWord tab. In PowerPoint, click the SpotlightPPT tab.
  3. Click Login.

    Note:
    Ensure you have a document open before clicking Login to avoid encountering an error.

  4. Enter the URL provided by Planful Support or your administrator to connect to your tenant.
  5. Enter your Email and Password.

    1. Optionally, click Forgot Password if you want to change your password.

    2. Enter Email and click Continue.
    3. A link to reset your password will be sent to your email. You can use it to create a new password.

    4. When logging in, select Remember email to save your username for future logins.

  7. Now, select your application from the drop-down menu and click Launch.

How to Log in with SSO to Spotlight for Office:

  1. Obtain the SSO URL from Planful support.
  2. Enter the provided SSO URL into the login form's address field.

  3. You will be redirected to the SSO Identity Provider (IDP) login page, such as OKTA.
  4. On the SSO IDP login page, enter your Username and Password.
  5. Click Sign In.

  6. After successful authentication, you will be logged in to the Spotlight for Office application.
Notes:
  • If you have multiple applications, you will be directed to the Select Your Application page.
    • Select the required application on the Select Your Application page.
    • Click Launch.
