When you have companies operating in hyperinflationary economies, you need to identify them using the HyperInflationary Setup functionality. Using HyperInflationary Setup, adjustments can be made to these companies to properly reflect the economic situation. For example, a U.S.-based company with foreign operations may need to adjust for inflation for one of its foreign subsidiaries.

Specify Hyperinflationary Companies

Navigate to Maintenance > Currency > Currency Exceptions and click the Hyperinflationary Setup tab.
Select Reporting from the dropdown. This list is populated based on the name and code assigned to the reporting member defined on the Segment Hierarchies page.
Select the companies associated with hyperinflation in the Unmapped Entity(s) pane.
Click the forward arrow to indicate that the company is operating in a hyperinflationary economy.
Click Save.

Apply Filter

Click the Apply Filter icon to filter out Unmapped Entity(s) or Mapped Entity(s) based on Entity Code or Entity Name.
