Reports can be run from the Planning Control Panel or the File Cabinet.
Budget Entity Status Report
The Budget Entity Status report allows users to quickly retrieve a summary status for all budget entities a user has access to. This report will provide information directly related to workflow status as well as budget entity status. And, it allows users to filter entities based on status; such as forwarded and approved.
In Practice
Navigate to the Planning Control Panel. Select a scenario and a budget hierarchy entity rollup or leaf member.
Click Status Report option on the toolbar. You will see the Status Report appear.
Once the Status Report appears, you can click members in the hierarchy to view information. You can even select a different scenario from this screen.
You can also see how many have not been started. Click Not Started for details.
Click Forwarded to view the entities that are in a forwarded state as shown below.
You can also perform actions on entities and templates from this report; the same actions that can be performed from the Planning Control Panel.
How to Report on the Employees Budgeted to a Specific Department within a Budget Entity
Access the Planning Control Panel.
In the Right pane click the Reports tab.
Click Workforce Planning Budget.
For View select GL Account View and click Run.
How to Run a Report to See Data in the I/P Comp Items Tab of the Workforce Planning Template for a Budget Entity
Access the Planning Control Panel.
In the Right pane click the Reports tab.
Click Workforce Planning Budget.
Run the Workforce Planning Budget standard report to view data by Compensation Item.
Trial Balance Report
Display all debits and credits for an organization.
Workflow Status Report
View all Budget Entities by completion status. The status is based on the actions performed via the Planning Control Panel for a given budget entity.
In Progress - the budget entity item is in a work in progress state. A red check mark is the indicator.
Finally Approved - workflow for the item is complete. A green check mark is the indicator.
Approved - initial approval is complete for the forwarded item. A blue check mark is the indicator.
Forwarded - budget entity item has been forwarded for approval. A yellow check mark is the indicator.
Balance Sheet Report
View balance sheet data and drill down based on a dimension. Expanded and collapse to drill down.
Capital Budget Report
Report on capital assets and expenditures by budget entity. Report by:
Asset Category - report based on asset categories set up using the Add Asset Category page.
Budget Entity - report per budget entity on assets, asset categories, finance modes, purchase month, and depreciated start month all in one output.
Finance Mode - report based on the finance modes set up using the Add Finance Mode page.
Depr. Start Month - report based on the month you started depreciating the asset(s).
Purchase Month - report based on the date the asset(s) was purchased.
Asset - report based on assets set up using the Add Asset page.
Template Notes Report
View all notes associated with a selected template. Template notes are entered on the Template Input page.
Workforce Planning Report
View Workforce budget details by compensation item, compensation item and position, GL account, or compensation item summary. Select report options and email or export the results. Select from the following for View:
Compensation Item View - When selected, you will be prompted to select the way you want the compensation item displayed in the report. You can display the name, code, or label, which is a combination of code and name. This report displays compensation items per month.
GL Account View - Provides a report based on employee position. This view is important when the compensation for an employee is divided across budget entities.
GL Account Detail View - Provides a report on GL Account Detail data for Workforce Budgeting.
By Compensation Item and Position - This report displays compensation items based on selected positions. For example, you can view all compensation items for the Account Director position.
Compensation Item Summary - When selected, you will be prompted to select a fiscal year, whether or not you want decimal places in the report output, and how you want the compensation item displayed in the report. You can display the name, code, or label, which is a combination of code and name. This report displays all compensation items for the selected budget entity and fiscal year.
By Compensation Item - When selected, you will be prompted to select a Compensation Item to report on. This view provides a report that includes compensation items by month.
Notes - Report on template notes (for an employee position for example).
Natural Account View - Natural accounts contain transaction level data. These types of accounts are used for revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity type accounts. For example, a natural account may be used to market a new product. Natural accounts are segment members of hierarchies.
Budgeted Segments Report
View the Budgeted page level segments detail for Block and Revenue planning templates. This report displays all individual page level segment combinations with budget data. For Account/IC Segment / Currency, enter filter data.
Budgeted Data Report
Report on planned budgets for a scenario and entity. View the data by month and time. This report provides a comprehensive look at all budgeted data for all templates mapped to an entity. An example of report output is shown below.
Open a template from the Planning Control Panel for the scenario and entity.
You can see the data was pulled from the template mapped to the entity and scenario for which the report was run.
Capital Budget Analysis
This report provides a comprehensive look at your budgeted data for all Capex items in all templates for a specified scenario and entity.
Subline Data
Run the Subline Data report to view sublines for all templates for a selected scenario and budget entity. You can go into each template and view sublines, but this comprehensive report provides a simpler way to view the data in one central location.
Make sure you deploy the report to make it available in the File Cabinet for users.
Additionally, map the report to templates to run it from the Template Input interface. Mapping reports to templates is done on the template add/edit screen (accessed by navigating to Maintenance > Templates > Template Setup.
In Practice
You can filter the Subline Data report by Scenario, Entity, View, and Time. You can view this report by Month, Quarter or Scenario. The report displays sublines for the 6308 Trade Shows account.
If you open a template in the Planning Control Panel for this scenario and budget entity, the account is displayed in the template and the L is highlighted indicating there is subline data.
Click L to launch the Subline page where you can see the same data in the report.
Optionally, filter by Template and Line Name for more granular reporting. Line Name displays the lines with sublines for the selected template.
View only those sublines for a selected template. The output below is a result of filtering on Template and Line Name.
In comparison, the output below is less granular as Template and Line Name is not filtered.
Variance is available as an option in the Subline Data Standard Report. If selected, both Scenario and Time dimensions are enabled in the filters in addition to Budget Entity. Up to 2 scenarios can be selected and multiple members can be selected for the time dimension.

Scenario - two scenarios are selected to calculate variance (displayed same order as they are selected by the user from the hierarchy)

Variance (for each period)
Total Variance - variance is calculated as the difference between the 2 scenarios (scenario 1 - scenario 2) for each period applied in the report

Pay Plans Exception
The Pay Plans Exception standard report shows the employees that are not mapped to a selected Pay Plan for a selected Scenario and Home Budget Entity. It provides a quick and easy way to examine employee pay plan information.
In Practice
Navigate to Maintenance > Reports > Standard Reports.
Select the Pay Plans Exception report.
Click More and select Deploy.
Select a folder in the File Cabinet to deploy the report to.
Run the report from the File Cabinet or within the Standard Reports screen.
After you click Run, select filters. You can select up to 3 scenarios on the Scenario Hierarchy popup (shown below).
For Budget Entity (home budget entity), select as many entities as needed. For Pay Plan, select as many pay plans exceptions as needed.
For Show Employees, select to include (mapped to selected pay plans) or exclude (not mapped to selected pay plans) the selected Pay Plans (the default is to Exclude) for the selected scenarios and home budget entities.
Click Run to execute the report. The report output shown below displays employees mapped to the Equal Monthly, Work Days, and Bi-Weekly pay plan.
