How to Apply Formatting in the ESM View?
Users can format numbers in the ESM view using options for currency, percentages, red brackets, and decimal places. Here’s how to use these formatting options:
- In SpotlightXL, navigate to Analyze > Design View.
- Select the desired ESM view.
- Click the Home tab.
- Apply the formatting options as needed.
- Return to the SpotlightXL tab.Note:
Formatting applied to the first cell in a column will automatically apply to all cells within that column.
- Optionally, click Properties to set the decimal value and freeze the header:
- Enter the required decimal value in the Decimal field.Note:
The defined decimal values will apply to all columns. However, if a specific column has its own decimal formatting, it overrides the general decimal setting.
- To freeze the header row, set Freeze Header Row to Yes.
- Enter the required decimal value in the Decimal field.
- Click Save As and provide a name for the view.
- Finally, click Save.
