Detailed information on Cloud Scheduler is provided in the Cloud Scheduler guide. Some basic information is provided here.
What is Cloud Scheduler and How Does It Work?
As a Consolidation Admin, you can use Cloud Scheduler to run the Consolidation Process. Additionally, use Cloud Scheduler to run data load rules, report collections, Financial Package reports, scenarios, and translations export at a scheduled date and time. Cloud Scheduler consists of two tabs; Process Flow and Job Manager.
Process Flow - this is where you will set up and schedule all tasks you want to run.
Job Manager - this is where you will view completed process flows and the status of each run.
With Cloud Scheduler you can:
Add various tasks to a scheduled run
Define task dependencies so all tasks are executed in parallel or sequentially
Define, schedule and manage Process Flows
Automatically execute jobs based on schedules
Track job status and individual task created based on the Process Flow schedule
Notify users via e-mail regarding job and task statuses
Providing Users with Access to Cloud Scheduler
Access to Cloud Scheduler is enabled on the Navigation Access page, via Maintenance > Admin > User Management > Navigation Role > Navigation Access.
Understanding Process Flow and Job Manager
Access Cloud Scheduler by navigating to Maintenance > Admin > Cloud Scheduler. Two tabs are displayed, Process Flow and Job Manager:
Process Flow — a set of Tasks defined to be executed in parallel or sequentially. A Process Flow can be scheduled to run once or can be reoccurring.
Job — for each schedule in the Process Flow, a Job is created. A Job executes a set of Tasks as defined in the Process Flow.
