Overview

View all actions take by a user, component and model via the Audit Log. To access the Audit Lob, select the Manage task and the Application Administration, Audit Log subtask.

Auditing Users

In Practice

  1. Select a user from the Username field to view all actions taken by that user or select All to view all actions performed for all users.

  2. For Component, select the area of the product that you want to view.

  3. Optionally, select an associatedModel. Only those models in which the user has access to are displayed. Or select All to display all actions the user took for all models.

  4. Select one of the following for Status :

    • All – All processes run (like the Calculation regardless of whether they failed or succeeded.

    • Success – All successful processes run.

    • Failure – All failed processes.

  5. For From Date - enter the starting date for which you want to view audit details. The date must be in the MM/DD/YYYY format.

  6. ForTo Date - enter the ending date for which you want to view audit details. The date must be in the format MM/DD/YYYY.

    Total Records - This is a display field only. It shows the number of entries found.

    Page Size - This is a display field only. It shows the number of entries shown on each page. The maximum page size is 1000.

    Current Page - This is a drop-down list. If there are more than 1000 entries, they are divided into multiple pages. Select which page you want to view then click Refresh.

    An example is displayed below:

    Note:
    The Details column provides information on why the process was successful or unsuccessful.

    In the example below, page 1 has 1000 entries, and page 2 has 448 entries.

The Audit Log includes entries for logins, logoffs, and failed login attempts.

  • If the user that attempted to login is a Business user, the failed login attempt will appear in the Audit Log within their application(s).

  • If the user that attempted to login is an External user, the failed login attempt will appear only in the Audit Log for the Master application that is maintained by Planful.
