How to Generate Workforce Planning Budget Report?

The Workforce Planning Budget report provides a detailed level of organization for budgets related to human resources based on the scenario, budget entity, and view. It allows you to view Workforce details associated with a scenario and budget entity.

To generate and download the workforce planning budget report, do the following:

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Reports > Standard Reports.

  2. Select Workforce Planning Budget Report and click Run. The Workforce Planning Budget screen appears.
    Note:
    The report status must be Deployed. If not, deploy the report and provide user access if required. Click here to learn more on how to deploy the standard report.


  3. Select any of the following from the View drop-down:

    This report displays compensation items per month. When selected, you will be prompted to select the way you want the compensation item displayed in the report. You can display the name, code, or label, a combination of code and name. 

    1. Select the Scenario, Budget Entity, and Compensation Item code, label, and name.

    2. Click Run, and the report appears.

    This report displays the report based on employee position. This view is important when the compensation for an employee is divided across budget entities.

    1. Select the Scenario and Budget Entity.
    2. Click Run, and the report appears.

    This report displays compensation items by month and specific to selected positions for detailed analysis.


    By Compensation item

    This view provides a report that includes compensation items by month. When selected, you will be prompted to select a Compensation Item to report on.

    1. Select the Scenario, Budget Entity, and Comp Item.
    2. Click Run, and the report appears.

    By Compensation item and Position

    This report displays compensation items based on selected positions. For example, you can view all compensation items for the Account Director position.

    1. Select the Scenario, Budget Entity, Comp Item., and Position

    2. Click Run, and the report appears.

    Note: 
    In Standard Reports, when you run the Workforce Planning Budget Report for the By Compensation Item and By Compensation Item and Position view options, the application will consider the Home Budget Entity while generating the report instead of considering two different budget entities for these Views. 

    This report displays all compensation items for the selected budget entity and fiscal year.

    1. Select the Scenario, Budget Entity, Fiscal Year, and Display Decimals to whether or not you want decimal places in the report output, and Compensation Item to decide how you want the compensation item displayed in the report. You can display the name, code, or label, which is a combination of code and name. 
    2. Click Run, and the report appears.

  4. Use the Export drop-down menu option to download the report.

  5. Click the Send Email option to email the report to the registered email address.

  6. Optionally, you can use the Hide option to hide all the fields.
