Enabling Predict Signals

You must contact your Account Manager or Planful Support to enable the Predict Signals functionality in your application. Based on your request, the Account Managers can log in to your application and enter the passcode to enable this functionality, or if your Account Manager has provided you with the passcode, you can enable Signals by yourself.

In Practice: Enabling Predict Signals 

To enable Predict Signals, do the following:

1. Go to Maintenance > Admin > Configuration Tasks > Planful: Predict.
   The Planful: Predict configuration page appears.
   
   Note:

   Only new users will be redirected to this page while configuring Predict Signals.
2. Click Enable Signals.
   The Enable Predict: Signals popup appears.
3. Enter the passcode in the given text box and click Verify.
   The configuration screen appears.
   
   Note:

   The existing users can manage the Signals configurations on this page.
4. Select the years from the General Settings pane.
   Note:

   You can now select the years that will be excluded from Model Training. You need at least 3 years of historical data for Signals and Projections.
5. In the Signals Configuration pane, select the Scenario(s) for Pre-computation and choose the Active Scenario from the respective fields to generate the Signals Overview Report.
6. Click Scenario Pre-computation.
7. You can choose to adjust the Signals Range and the Current Month as per your requirement from the respective fields.
   Note:

   The current Calendar month will be considered as the value of the System Default option. You can select 3 months before and after the current month using the drop-down menu.
8. You can also select the dimensions you want to ignore.
   Note:

   You can ignore a maximum of two dimensions.
9. Once you have configured the required fields, click Train Model.
