On the Planning Control Panel screen, select the required Budget Entity in the left pane at any level (parent or child) and click Share. A share template pop-up appears that displays the list of Budget Managers.
As of today, you can only share GTSC templates and Workforce Planning Templates (only in Read-Only mode) with Budget Managers. You can either share GTSC templates in Default View or select a particular View from the list that only displays the required rows and columns. Click here to know more about Views.
Perform the following series of steps to send an email:
- Select a template from the Select Template drop-down.
- Select the budget managers from the list.
- Validate whether the budget manager has the required permissions to access the template. If any permission is missing, you can directly navigate to User Management from the validate access pop-up and provide the necessary permissions.
- Select a View from the drop-down adjacent to each budget manager's name.
- You can customize the content of the email that is sent to the budget managers when you share a template with them if needed. Expand the Enter a Message section, and convey any additional information or instructions needed to review or edit the shared template with the managers in a single email.
The Enter a Message section pre-populates the email content. You can either change the entire email content or add additional information to the existing content. - Click Send Email.
An email is sent to the budget managers with a link to access the template.
Note
Instead of sharing a template through email, you can use the Copy Link option to copy the template link and share it with any budget manager directly without sending an email. A task is also automatically created for the budget manager when you select a budget manager and click Copy Link.
