Data Integration Configuration

Under Data Integration Configuration, configure the appropriate task based on how you will load to Planful. 

Web Services Access - Load all types of data (including Boomi)

Cloud Services - Depending on the service (Box, NetSuite Connect, etc.), load GL, Segment Hierarchy, Transaction, and Translations data

Other available options to load your data:

• APIs - A simple, powerful and secured way of importing or exporting data to and from Planful

• Data Load Rules - Load all types of data

• Transaction Details - Load transaction or "daily" data

• Actual Data Template - Load actual data

Web Services

With Web Service, you can configure Planful to import data from an external source.

Web Services is one method in which data is loaded into Planful through an on-demand integration service. A web browser is used to build, deploy and manage integrations. No software or hardware is required.

To do so, first complete the Web Service Access configuration to define security access for importing data and set up user notification so that users know when new data is loaded to Planful.

How to Configure Web Service Access?

To complete the Web Service Access configuration task, follow the steps below:

1. Access the Web Service Access page under Maintenance > Administration > Configuration Tasks.

2. Click Web Service Access.

3. Click Enable for API.

4. Planful provides default URLs under Web Service URL. These URLs will be needed to connect with Planful through a session-state or state-free authentication.

5. Click the arrow icon to move users from the Available User(s) list to the Email User(s) list. Users in the Email User(s) list will receive an email notification whenever data is loaded via the web services.

6. Click Save & Complete.

Once Web Service Access is configured, you can create a Data Load Rule using web services.

Cloud Services

Load GL, Translations, or Transaction data from any of the available connectors into Planful. To do so, complete the Configuration Task within the Maintenance menu. 

Users can select and configure any of the available connectors they want to use.

Native connectors:

The list of Native connectors are:

• Box - Load GL and Translations data

• FTP/SFTP - Load GL data, translations, and transaction data

• Google Drive - Load GL and Translations data 

• Integration Services - manage the Integration Process with Boomi from within the Planful application

• Netsuite Connect - Load Segment Hierarchies, Currency Exchange Rates, GL Data, Translations Data or Transaction Data
