How to Run a Capital Budget Analysis Report via Standard Reports?

To run a Capital Budget Analysis Report:

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Report Administration > Standard Reports.
  2. Select Capital Budget Analysis and click the Run icon.
    Note:
    The Capital Budget Analysis report must be deployed to run the reports. Click here to learn how to deploy a report.
  3. On the Capital Budget Analysis page, select the filters as needed:
    1. View: Select By Month, By Quarter, or By Scenario to view the output report.
    2. Scenario: Select a scenario from the drop-down list. If you select By Scenario for View, you can choose up to 3 scenarios.
      Note:
       If you select By Scenario for View, you can choose up to 3 scenarios.
    3. Budget Entity: Click the arrow icon, select the desired entity checkboxes, and click Apply.
    4. Time: Click the arrow icon, select the desired time, and click Apply.
    5. Account: Click the arrow icon, select the desired Account, and click Apply.
    6. Group By: Use this field to filter by Entity or Asset Category.
  4. Click Run. The report for the selected filters will be displayed.
    Note:
    • To export the report, use the Export icon. Reports can be exported in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, TIFF, MHTML, CSV, XML, or data feed file formats
    • Use the Send Email option to email the report to one or multiple recipients
    • Use Hide/Show to view or hide the filters.

Descriptions - Capital Budget Analysis report output

The following section describes the fields on the Capital Budget Analysis report output page.

Note:
The order of the fields differs based on the filter chosen.
  • Entity: This column displays the Budget Entity code and name selected for the template
  • Asset Category: This column displays the asset category name associated with each asset
  • Asset: The column displays the name of the asset
  • Asset Description: This column displays both the Asset Code and Asset Name as defined on the Asset page
    • If the Asset Name is updated in Input mode within the Planning Control Panel, the updated name will be displayed in the Asset Description column
    • When a Destination Account is mapped, the Line Code and Line Name will appear in the Asset Description column
  • Segments: Displays the list of configured and mapped segments
    Note:
    The list of segments and segment names are shown as defined in the Define Financial Segments - Configuration Task page.
  • Values: Displays the budgeted capital expenditure values based on the selected View filter option. For example, if By Quarter is selected, each quarter's values will be displayed
