Invoice Processing
New this release is the ability to process your own invoices directly in the Planful for Marketing platform. Traditionally, we have supported the ability to send an invoice in an email to your budget and it would appear in your account after a few hours. Now when you send an invoice in an email, it appears in your account in a matter of seconds.
Additionally, you can upload an invoice to your account via a button or by simply dragging and dropping a PDF invoice into the new invoices tab.
Regardless of the way the invoice gets uploaded, once it is uploaded, we create an unverified expense based on the invoice. These unverified expenses can all be reviewed in the new Invoices tab on the Expenses page.
There is a new option in the Manage dropdown in the top level navigation. When at least one invoice has been uploaded, there is now a small pink dot that indicates there is an invoice that requires a user’s attention.
Import/Export (including reports)
We have removed the old import/export page in favor of a new one that is supported by our more up to date import file format plus it has some new features including:
- The ability to export reports.
- The ability to export an XLS in the exact format you need to import new data.
- We have expanded the XLSX reports. You can compare allocations between two points in time (based on saved baselines for your budget) for both segment allocations and campaign allocations. Please see more here.
- A more streamlined design for import.
- Read/Write users are restricted from exporting/importing to segments they do not have access to, nor can they download reports about campaigns they do not have access to (based on segment level permission).
Custom Duplication
Users can now customize a budget when they duplicate it. For example, if you are at the end of the year and you want to carry over the basic structure of your previous year’s budget but none of the expenses or actual budget numbers, you can select to only duplicate your segments, campaigns, and goals but NOT your expenses, expense groups or budgeted amounts. Users can also select whether they want to carry metric values over to the duplicated budget and customize access permission.
Feature Requests:
Users can now drag and drop children into/out of parent campaigns regardless if the campaign/expense group is partially in a closed timeframe.
Users can now filter on metrics. On the manage page this filters to a list of campaigns that are tracking the selected metric(s).
Users can now quickly create a new campaign or expense group right inline on the manage page.
Users can now view the Expense page by Goal.
Users can now put active links in the notes section of a goal/campaign/expense group/expense detail page.
The search in the nav bar now accepts Expense IDs.
General Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where cloning Goals loaded endlessly.
Fixed an issue where the expense page would hang if an expense had a parent with a really long name.
Fixed an issue where users could drag available dollars into closed timeframes.
Fixed an issue with the horizontal scroll on the manage page.
Fixed an issue with the “No Goal” view on the Expense page.
Fixed alignment issues with adding revenue target/recommended budget process.
