How to Access the Entity Ownership Details

You can click on an entity in a group to access the entity fly-out window. This window shows the ownership details in a tabular view or a pie chart.

You can view the ownership details of the entity for different date ranges and the holding percentages for each ownership member. You can also view the ownership report, which shows company ownership changes in a fiscal year.

Note:

Access to ownership details of an entity depends on the access settings defined in the Consolidation Security window. To learn more about the security settings, click here.

To view the ownership details, do the following:

1. Navigate to Consolidation > Consolidation Control Panel > Org Chart tab. The Org Chart appears.

2. From the Select a group drop-down, select the group to which the entity belongs and for which you want to view the ownership details.

3. From the group’s org chart, click on the entity to view the ownership details. You can also search for the entity in the Select an Entity option on the top right corner of the page.

   

4. The entity fly-out window appears and shows the following details:

   • Entity Search - Global entity search that lists all entities in the company dimension.

   • Entity Details - Information about the selected entity such as Scenario, Accounting Method, Consolidation Period, and Consolidation Status.

     

   • Investor - Information about the group and other entities that invest in the selected entity.

     • Date Range - View different ownership details over different periods. This field is populated based on the ownership details defined when importing the group structure. To learn more about importing the group structure, click here.

     • Investor View - View investor details in a tabular or pie chart format.

     • Edit Ownership - Edit and change ownership details. To learn more about changing ownership details from the entity fly-out window, click here.

     • Export Ownership - Export ownership details for all the date ranges in Excel.

       

     • Yearly Ownership - View ownership details in a fiscal year. You can further click Export as Excel icon to download ownership details for the selected fiscal year.

       

   • Investment - Information about entities in which the selected entity is invested.

     

5. Click the Close icon to close the entity fly-out window.

How to Edit the Entity Ownership Details

You can edit an entity’s ownership details in a group from the entity fly-out window. You can update the holding percentage for the investor group or other entities, and change the controlling interest member. You can also add new entities as ownership members.

To edit an entity’s ownership details in a group from the entity fly-out window, do the following:

1. Navigate to Consolidation > Consolidation Control Panel > Org Chart tab. The Org Chart appears.

2. From the Select a group drop-down, select the group to which the entity belongs and for which you want to view the ownership details.

3. From the group’s org chart, click on the entity to view ownership details.

4. Select the period from the Date Range drop-down for which you want to change the ownership details.

5. Click the edit icon above the ownership view in the Investor tab. The ownership table switches to editing mode.

   

6. Change the ownership member from the drop-down in the Ownership Member column.

7. Change the percentage holding value of the ownership member in the Percentage Holding column.

8. (Optional Step) Change the percentage holding value of Non-Controlling Interest - External.

9. Click New Row to add new ownership members in the Ownership Member column.

   1. Select one or more ownership members from the Select Ownership Member window.

   2. Click Select. The ownership members appear in the tabular view.

      

10. Select the radio box marked against the ownership member to change the Controlling Interest.

    

11. Click Save to apply changes made to the ownership details.

12. Click Cancel to discard the changes made to the ownership details.

13. Click the X icon beside the radio box to delete an ownership member.
