Structured Planning: Copy Option in Workforce Attributes Window

Now, a Copy option has been added in the Workforce Planning Setup > Workforce Attributes window. You can use this option to copy any existing user-defined attribute and add a user-defined attribute.

The following image shows the Copy option in the toolbar of the Workforce Attributes window.

How does the functionality work

When you select any attribute and click Copy, all details available in the original user-defined attribute, such as Attribute Name, Attribute Type, Reporting Attribute, and so on, are automatically copied to the user-defined attribute.

While copying any user-defined attribute, you can specify the required New Attribute Name in the Copy Attribute pop-up window. By default, the New Attribute Name field's value consists of the prefix "copy_" followed by the attribute name.

For example, if you copy a Bonus attribute, then a user-defined attribute named Copy_Bonus will be added to the user-defined attributes list. The Copy_Bonus attribute will contain the same information available in the Bonus attribute.

Note:
This enhancement is available in the Workforce Planning UI.

Business Value

This functionality provides you the flexibility of copying an existing user-defined attribute’s data with just one click. You can use the data from any existing user-defined attribute and create a user-defined attribute with ease.

In Practice: Selecting the Copy Option

  1. Go to Maintenance > Workforce Planning Setup, and then click the Workforce Attributes tab.

  2. Select a user-defined attribute and click Copy.

  3. In the Copy Attribute pop-up, enter the New Attribute Name and click Add. A message is displayed once the user-defined attribute is successfully copied.

Platform: Introduced Email notifications in Task Manager

Now, you will have the option to send an email notification to all the relevant individuals associated with a task when you perform any of the following actions.

Note:
You yourself will not receive the email notification if you have performed any of the following actions for which the email is being sent out.

    Graphical user interface, application

  • Deletion of a task

    Graphical user interface

Previously, you could only send in-app notifications for any of the actions mentioned above.

Note:
This option is enabled for all customers by default.

In case you wish to disable this feature, you can click the avatar icon and go to My Settings > General > Enable Email Notification for Task Manager and deselect the All Actions checkbox.

Business Value

This functionality provides Task Administrators the ability to notify all the relevant members associated with the task about all major updates regarding a task even when they are not using the application.
