How to Map a Pay Plan at the Employee or Compensation Item Level?

To map the pay plans at both the Employee level and Compensation level, do the following:

Employee Level: Mapping Pay Plan and Override Payout Schedule

  1.  Navigate to Maintenance > Workforce > Workforce Planning Setup.  You are on the Employees tab.
  2. Select the scenario of the employee you wish to customize.
  3. Click on the employee number link to edit the employee details. Now, change the pay plan.

    By doing so, you can set a unique payout schedule for that specific employee, tailored accordingly.

Compensation Level: Mapping Pay Plan and Override Salary Calculation Basis

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Workforce > Workforce Planning Setup.
  2. Click the Compensation Items tab.
  3. Click the Add icon. The Add Compensation Item page appears.
  4. After filling the required details in the General Information and Compensation Basis tabs, go to the Settings tab.
  5. Select Apply Pay Plan. By doing so, you can override the default salary calculation basis for a specific compensation item.

  6. Customize the calculation basis to meet specific requirements, deviating from the standard setting (for example, Equal Monthly).
